Zelda Price Swartz, known to all as TAG, was born, Zelda Price, 11-03-31, Shanghai China to James F. Price and Zelda Ellet Price. She passed away 06-30-20, at home having spent time with family in hospice, in Topeka Kansas. She is survived by her husband Warren C. Swartz and children, Cynthia A. Hodges and Lloyd C. Swartz, 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and daughter, Susan L. Knight, her brothers James F. Price Jr., Ralph Ray Price and Bruce E. Price.
Her early years saw her family move from China months before the Japanese attacked Shanghai in early 1932. She lived in New Jersey, California, Colorado, Nebraska and Kansas.
A dedicated wife of a Methodist minister, she was active in the United Methodist Women as well as other activities in churches including, Warren UMC, Denver Co, Centenary UMC, Beatrice NE, Saint Marks UMC, Lincoln NE, First UMC, Kearney NE, St. Paul's UMC, Lincoln NE, Susana Wesley UMC, Topeka KS, Countryside UMC, Topeka KS.
Tag found her calling as a nurse, LPN, after her children graduated from high school. She worked in hospitals, schools as well as Dr. offices in her carrier. She was always proud of her service on the Nebraska Board of Nursing.
Her real calling was as a grandmother and great grandmother. To say she spoiled the grandchildren and great grandchildren is a true understatement.
She will leave a vacuum in the lives of many beyond her family as well.
