William J McGann Jr.

William (Bill) J. McGann died on April 9, 2026, at Midland Care Hospice House, Topeka, Kansas. He was born on 10/18/1949 in Queens, New York, the son of William J. McGann Sr. and Jean M. Crall.

Bill grew up in Fort Wayne, Indianna. He honorably served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Bill moved to Peoria, Il area after discharge from the U.S. Army. Bill met and married Susan Puhal in 1977. Bill drove truck for Capitol Group, a plumbing supply warehouse in East Peoria, Il.

Sue and Bill moved to St Joseph, Missouri, in 1998. Bill worked at Lowe's as a Plumbing Specialist. After 17 years of living in St Joseph, they moved to Topeka, Kansas, to be close to grandchildren. Bill retired from Stormant Vail in 2024. He enjoyed his work as a Tele-Com Operator.

Surviving is his wife, Susan McGann, his sons Joseph, Jeffery, and seven grandchildren.

Joseph's children are Willow and Elliot. Willow and Elliot's live with their mother, Heather McGann of Topeka, Kansas.

Jeffery McGann and Felicia Morgan children are Atlas, Arthur, Aeries, Anya, and Amber of Kanas City, Missouri.

Also surviving are Bill's sister Linda Frazier and Mickey Sutton and her husband, Mike, of Fort Wayne, Indianna.

Bill will be interred at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Family will have private celebrations of Bill's life.
