William Robert (Bob) Kramer, 78, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026 after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer.
He was born June 16, 1947, in Junction City, Kansas, the son of Willard and Adeline (Hannigan) Kramer. He was a 1964 graduate of Chapman High School, and attended classes at Kansas State University.
Bob served in the Kansas Army National Guard from 1967-1974.
He worked in the auto parts industry for over 40 years, serving as a salesperson for Hoover’s Auto Parts, and as a store manager for Carquest Auto Parts.
Bob married Daramis (Dormie) Louise Brennan on July 14, 1967, in Manhattan, Kansas. They lived in Junction City, Kansas until 1972 when they moved to Topeka, Kansas. In 2007, they retired to Sun City, Arizona, before returning to Topeka in 2020.
Bob leaves behind his wife, Dormie; daughter, Amy (Eric) Ives of Topeka; son, Stephen of Topeka; his grandson, Justin (Erin) Ives of Mission, Kansas; his grandson, Aidan Ives of Kansas City, Missouri; and 4 great-grandsons. Survivors also include his sister, Ann (Nick) Wieland of Garden Plain, Kansas; and his brother, Dick (Robbie) Kramer of Herington, Kansas; along with many nieces and nephews.
He is reunited in death with his parents and his beloved dog, Gracie.
In addition to his family, Bob’s other great love was the game of golf. He spent many hours/days on the golf course and made many life-long friends. Bob will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.
Honoring his request, cremation is planned. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at a later date.
