A devoted wife to her late husband Verne E. Stephens, and a cherished mother, Wanda was preceded in death by her youngest son, William D. Stephens. She leaves behind her son, James E. Stephens, along with a legacy of five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Wanda After graduating high school, she served with dedication as a secretary for the VA Hospital, showing her innate ability to care for and provide support to those who served our nation.
Her faith as a Christian guided her through life's ebbs and flows, providing her with strength and solace. She sang hymns with heartfelt fervor and lived her beliefs through acts of kindness and grace.
In her personal life, Wanda was an avid reader, always with a novel at hand, each book a new journey for her curious mind. The strains of classical music often filled her home. She also had an appreciation for the simple pleasure of a glass of dry white wine, often enjoyed with friends and family.
Cremation has taken place. She will be laid to rest with her late husband, Verne Stephens, at Grace Episcopal Cathedral, Topeka, KS.
