Virginia Mary "Ginny" Boos, a lifelong resident of Topeka, Kansas, passed away peacefully in her hometown on December 11, 2023, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on November 12, 1951, in Topeka, to the late Joseph and Virginia (Reeb) Schiefelbein.
She graduated from Highland Park High School and dedicated 30 years of service to the Ramada Inn before her retirement from Salisbury Supply.
Ginny found joy at the casino, mastered the art of crochet, and, above all, reveled in spending time with her family.
She was the beloved wife of Mike Boos, a dedicated mother, she leaves behind her children Leslie Patterson, Bob Boos, and Bonnie Boos. Ginny's legacy continues through her adored grandchildren Bret (Glau) Arganbright, Ashley (Brad) Arganbright, Chelsea (Gisela) Jenks, Luke (Lauren) Parnell, and Alexis (Jacob) Stang, and her seven great-grandchildren. The impending birth of her great-great-granddaughter filled her final days with anticipation and delight. She is also survived by her devoted sisters Janeen (Bob) Spinner, Amelia Hastings, and JoAnn (Jim) Mayfield.
Ginny was preceded in death by her sister Mary Ann McConnell, a testament to the close-knit nature of her family.
The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 AM, Friday, December 15, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 312 NE Freeman Avenue, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Following Mass, a graveside service for Virginia "Ginny" Boos will begin approximately at 11:20 AM at the Mt. Calvary Holy Trinity Mausoleum, 801 SW Westchester Rd, Topeka, KS.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart - St. Joseph Catholic Parish. Contributions may be left at the church or mailed to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 312 NE Freeman Avenue, Topeka KS 66616.
