Vicki J. Eaton, 74, has died after an extended illness. She was the daughter of Stan and Anna Jean Broadhurst.

A lifelong resident of the Manhattan area, she graduated from the Manhattan public school system and attended KSU for two years. There, she met and married Dallas Livengood. They had two sons and later divorced.

After several jobs including bookkeeper, EMT, police dispatcher and school bus driver, Vicki was employed as an accountant with the Biochemistry department at K-State when she met Don Eaton. They married in 1988, and established their home near Saint George, where they enjoyed a quiet life in the country with their dogs and parrots.

Mrs. Eaton's hobbies, in addition to their pets, included reading, gardening and wildlife photography. She was also an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. When her failing health no longer permitted full time work, she took part time employmment as Treasurer of the City of Saint George. She later became the Saint George Municipal Judge.

Vicki is survived by her husband Don Eaton, two sons Scott and Mark Livengood, brother Richard, sister Barbara, two neices, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Cremation is planned, and a memorial service will be held at Black Jack Hills Recreation Area, St. George, at 3:30 pm, Monday, June 18. Internment will be at the Saint George cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, recommended charities are the T. Russell Reitz Animal Shelter, the ASPCA and the Wounded Warrior Project.
