Vance Leon Jensen, Sr.

Vance Leon Jensen Sr, 63 passed peacefully at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka, Kansas on February 27th, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his Father Marvin Arthur Jensen and his Mother Carol Dawkins. He is survived by his bonus Mother Laurlie Jensen, of Newbern, North Carolina. His Daughter Vanessa Amsbary, and her better half, Shawn Pope, and grandson Gabriel Amsbary of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. He is also survived by his siblings Debbie Schartz and fiancé Dennis Freeman of Raytown, Missouri. Scott Jensen and his wife, Donna Jensen of Hutchinson, Kansas. Robyn Henderson and Rolland Michael Schoepf of Topeka, Kansas. Buddy Allen and his Wife, Jill Allen of Newbern, North Carolina. Warren Allen of Newbern, North Carolina. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

Vance was born June 8, 1959, in Millington, Tennessee. He led an adventurous life being a master diver. He owned and operated an IT company. He held many other jobs that led to his ability to travel. Recently, he picked up the hobby of oil painting. He loved watching the History Channel, Science channel and various documentaries. Vance was a computer enthusiast.

The family will not host a memorial service, as Vance requested. His remains will be returned to North Carolina, a place Vance absolutely loved the ocean.
