Travis James Johnson

Travis James Johnson, known affectionately by his friends and family as Travis, passed away on August 24, 2023, in Osage City, Kansas. He was born on July 9, 1976, in Topeka, Kansas, and lived a life marked by generosity, humor, and thoughtfulness.

Travis was a dedicated family man and is survived by his three sons, Chance, Caleb, and Wyatt Johnson. He was a loving brother to Jon Johnson, Jeff Ridgway, Michael Youngs, and Jennifer Johnson. His warmth and good nature will be missed by all who knew him.

Travis studied welding at Washburn Tech and mastered the craft with great dedication and skill. He put that same dedication into his work as a master drywaller, where his attention to detail and commitment to quality were second to none. His colleagues and clients respected him for his work ethic and admired him for his skill.

Beyond his work, Travis was a man of many interests. He found great joy in simple pleasures, like unwinding after a long day with a cold beer and some good music. His dog, Frigga, was a constant companion in these moments of relaxation.
