Tomicine "Tomi" Sweany

Tomi Sweany, 69, of Perry, Kansas, passed away peacefully at home on September 9, 2026, after a short battle with brain cancer with her husband and daughter by her side.

Tomi was a graduate of Highland Park High School and went on to work at St. Francis Hospital for 25 years. She and her husband, Scott, celebrated 50 years of marriage together. Tomi loved to travel and cherished time spent watching her grandchildren grow.

She was preceded in death by her mother, JoAnn Gay, and her son, Ryan Sweany. She is survived by her husband, Scott Sweany; her daughter, Jamie Stormer; and her six grandchildren.

Tomi was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and a cherished friend. She will be truly missed.

Private family burial of her urn will take place at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Perry, KS.
