Todd Philip Bowers

September 7, 1969 — October 29, 2017

Todd Philip Bowers, 48, Westmoreland, passed away October 29, 2017 after a fierce battle with cancer.

Todd was born September 7, 1969 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Sharon (Boe) Bowers, and Doug Bowers. He grew up in the St. George, Manhattan, and Westmoreland area, graduating from Westmoreland High in 1988. During and after high school, Todd worked at Kearby's Restaurant in Manhattan, starting out as a bus boy and working his way into the kitchen. This is where his love of cooking began. Todd spent several years working for Hormel Foods and for the last 12 years had worked as an Equipment Operator with Kansas Department of Transportation.

Todd loved to be outdoors whether it was hunting, fishing or working in the yard.

On August 10, 1991, he married his high school sweetheart, Alianna (Laney) Fowler in Westmoreland. The spent 26 short years together building the loving home that their three children would be born into. His children were his most prized possessions. You could often find him in the stands at his sons sporting events or equally supporting his daughters in their musical talents.

He is survived by his spouse, Alianna (Laney) Bowers of the home, son Spencer Bowers and his girlfriend Danyel Rakowitz of Manhattan, Daughters Casey and Mackenzie Bowers of the home, and Mother and Father Sharon and Merle Hill of Westmoreland. He also leaves behind his in-laws, Paul and Sandi Fowler of Westmoreland, and a host of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Doug Bowers, and his Sister Kendra Hill Linnenbur.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Westmoreland Community Center on Saturday, November 11 from 2-4 p.m. A memorial fund has been established and may be sent in care of Farmers State Bank, Westmoreland.
