With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Thomas “Tom” Dale Lehman Jr., a devoted husband, father, Pappy, son, brother, uncle, friend and coach, who went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 23, 2026. He was 56 years old.
Tom was born on September 7, 1969, in Marion, Ohio. He passed away peacefully at home in Rossville Kansas, surrounded by his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas D. Lehman Sr.; his brother, Bernard Lehman Sr.; his paternal grandmother, Naomi White; his step-grandfather, Donald White; and his maternal grandparents, Omar and Juanita Bourque.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Kristen Lehman; his daughter, Courtney Lehman; his son, Caleb Lehman; and his cherished grandsons, Oliver and Finnley Robertson. He is also survived by his mother, Theresa Lehman; his sister, Tina Lehman; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Tom treasured time spent with his family. He enjoyed traveling, attending sporting events, watching movies, and creating lasting memories with those he loved. He had a lifelong passion for sports, particularly football. As a youth football coach, Tom dedicated countless hours mentoring young athletes in the community, leaving a lasting and meaningful impact on many lives. His enthusiasm for the game extended from the Rossville Dawgs to his loyal support of the Michigan Wolverines and the Los Angeles Chargers.
The family extends their sincere gratitude to the physicians, nurses, and staff at The University of Kansas Cancer Center for their compassionate care and dedication over the past three and a half years. They also wish to thank the nurses and staff of Gentiva Hospice for the comfort, dignity, and support they provided during Tom’s final days.
Family and Friends are invited to a celebration of Tom’s life Service that will be held Monday, March 9, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Rossville Christian Church, 411 Spruce Street, Rossville, Kansas 66533. Light refreshments will be served afterwards.
Tom’s strength, grit, determination, faith, and unwavering love for his family will be remembered always.
