Thomas E Finch

Thomas E Finch (67) passed away unexpectedly over the holidays.  Thom was born on June 20th, 1951 in Ottawa KS to Jack and Florence Finch.  He was the youngest of 5 children and shortly after his birth the family moved to Topeka Kansas, where Thom remained until his death.

Thom was a jack of all trades.  He obtained his nursing degree and worked at Stormont-Vail for a time before moving on to other experiences including EDS and Blue Cross.  He eventually retired and working part time at Churchill's cigar shop.  At the time of his death, Thom was working at Sam's Club as a door greeter.

Thom enjoyed spending time with his family.  He was an animal lover and an avid cigar connoisseur.  Thom was quirky and funny and hated having his picture taken which made it difficult for him during the holidays because he strongly resembled Santa Clause (and children frequently wanted a picture with "Santa".

Thom is survived by his daughter Jennifer Finch and his son Jonathan Finch, as well as his brother John M. Finch (Topeka KS), George Finch (Topeka KS), and his sister Sister Margaret Finch (Leavenworth KS) and he will be missed greatly.

Cremation is under the direction of Midwest Cremation Society, INC.

Memorial services will be held on January 17th, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. Location: Mater Dei-Holy Name school:  1114 SE 10th ST. Topeka KS.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Cat Association of Topeka.
