Theta Royce Kenney

Theta Royce Kenney, 86 of Tecumseh Kansas, formerly of Port Aransas, Texas passed away July 9th, 2023. Theta was born on January 19, 1937, in Wayne Oklahoma. The daughter of Roy E and Edna Beck. She was the youngest of 5 children.

Theta was a homemaker with a few part-time jobs at an elementary school and a junior high in Anaheim California. She volunteered with the Amos Animal Rehabilitation Keep (ARK) in Port Aransas Texas rescuing and rehabilitating sick and injured sea turtles.

Theta married Davey Lee Kenney January 22, 1955, in Clovis New Mexico. She is survived by their daughter Amy (Mark) Coon, Grandsons Andrew (Kasey Murphy) Franks and Bobby (Kristin) Coon, Granddaughter Breanna (Joshua) Briggs, Son in law Wayne Franks and two great grandchildren Colin and McKinley Coon. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband, and daughter Beth Franks.

Theta loved to travel. She has been to most states, only missing a few and has traveled to 18 different countries meeting many lifelong friends along the way.

Theta wished to be cremated and will be interred with Dave in Lubbock Texas at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Amos Rehabilitation Keep (ARK) in Port Aransas, Texas.
