Stan worked in construction framing houses for many years until 1996 when he joined Swims & Sweeps as a pool and fireplace technician. He continued working after his initial cancer treatments until he was physically unable to perform his duties.
Stan, affectionately known as "Stan Man" enjoyed grilling/smoking meats and everyone always wanted to know what he was grilling next. His grand kids loved their "G-pa" and he enjoyed riling them all up and settling the squirrels down. He enjoyed his time outside feeding the birds, gardening and listening to the KC Royals, KC Chiefs and KU Basketball on the radio. He loved going to the beach with family and his favorite locations were South Padre Island, Cancun and Hawaii. He also loved all the time he spent in Colorado with family. Stan really enjoyed time with friends playing pool, fishing and nights by the bonfire.
Stan wasn't tech savvy and didn't appreciate group texts. We'll miss his offering of "I'll buy, you fly" and those wonderful shoulder rubs. He had a huge heart and gave the best hugs!
