Shelley F. Buckley

Shelley F. Buckley, 58, passed away at her home on May 19, 2026.

Shelley had a deep love for animals and nature. From a young age, she dreamed of working with and training dolphins, and her passion for caring for animals stayed with her throughout her life. She especially loved feeding wildlife and spent countless hours caring for the animals around her, always making sure they were well fed and looked after. Whether it was birds, squirrels, raccoons, stray cats, or any creature that crossed her path, Shelley found joy in nurturing them and creating a welcoming place for wildlife. Her two beloved cats were her constant companions, and all of the animals she cared for will surely miss her loving care.

Shelley loved cooking, trying new recipes, and sharing her mother’s old recipes with others, which helped her feel connected to her. She was also a thoughtful gift giver who loved finding little things to make people smile, whether it was sending surprises to her great nieces and nephews, sharing funny memes and videos, or simply making people feel remembered and cared for.

Shelley will be remembered by her family and those who knew her for her kind heart, generosity, and the moments they shared with her throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Carr.

She is survived by her children, Niran Buckley, Hailey Buckley, and Tanner Buckley; her father, Harry Carr; her sisters, Shawna Allen (Gary) and Stacey Hottman; and many adoring nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A service to honor Shelley’s life will be held on June 6th at 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
