On November 1, 2014 Serafina (Katsy) Griffin (Cabrerra) surrounded by her friends and family passed away at the age of 76 at St. Francis Hospital. She was born on March 24, 1938 to Guadalupe and Elvira Cabrerra in Topeka KS. She attended Our Lady of Guadalupe grade school and graduated from Hayden High school. Serafina met her late husband Rudy Robledo in Topeka KS and they later moved to California where she had her only 4 children: Rudy, Randy, Raymond, and Roylan. She is preceded in death by her sons: Raymond and Roylan. Katsy is survived by her current husband, Charles (Charlie) Griffin. As for her siblings she is survived by sisters: Virginia Bartlett (Dan), Bobby, Bill, Rossi, Judy and late brother Leo. Her two sons and their families she is survived by are Rudy (children: Alyssa, Daniel, and Alexia) and Randy (Gabrielle, Ryan, and Randy) along with her late son's daughter Raeley. Katsy worked as a quality control specialist for ROAR industries of San Diego California for 25+ years. Being a grandmother to her 7 grandchildren was how she made some of her fondest memories. In 2003 Katsy and Charlie moved to Topeka where she lived her remaining years. Once they settled in Topeka Katsy enjoyed taking care of her 3 dogs: Lily, Bosco, and Stella. In her spare time she loved to spend time with her two best friends: Eppie and Jenny. Katsy was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe church and she volunteered every Friday to help with the senior citizens at LULAC. She was a very caring and loving person who lent a helping hand wherever she could. She always loved cooking and entertaining her family for any special occasion. Serafina was an intelligent, strong-willed, and wonderful woman who lived a great life. She will be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends but surely never forgotten.

Please attend a mass that has been set for her at the Our lady of Guadalupe Church from 10-11am (visitation) and 11-12 pm (mass) on November 6, 2014.
