Sally Ann Corrier left this world on April 25, 2024, at the age of 68, passing away due to natural causes in Topeka, Kansas. Born on December 16, 1955, in Washington, Missouri, Sally's early years were filled with the warmth of extended family living nearby.
Sally was the beloved daughter of the late Gus H. Boehm of Saint Louis, MO, and Patricia A. Bates, and the stepdaughter of Robert A. Bates, of Lawrence, Kansas. She was a cherished mother to Casey P. Corrier and a loving grandmother to Greyson A. Fowler, Harrison R. Fowler, Calliope R. Fowler, and Persephone S. Fowler of Shelbyville, Indiana. Sally's spirit of kinship extended to her sister, Sandra K. Warren, and brother-in-law, Clay C. Warren, of Manhattan, Kansas, as well as her nephews, Andrew R. Warren and family of McLean, Illinois, and Timothy C. Warren and family of Topeka, Kansas. She also leaves behind step siblings David R. Bates of Benton, AR, Kathleen S. Bates of Marion, IA, Douglas A. Bates of Sharpsburg, GA and their families.
Sally's academic journey culminated with a bachelor's degree in psychology from Southwest Missouri State University, a testament to her curiosity about the human mind. Her career was marked by a significant tenure as the Production Manager at FISERV in Saint Louis, Missouri. In 2012, Sally made the heartfelt decision to relocate to Topeka, Kansas, to be closer to her sister, Sandra, and to immerse herself in the community she quickly grew to love. She spent the final years of her working life at HyVee where she is very fondly remembered by her coworkers.
Those who knew Sally will remember her as the life of the party, a woman whose humor and friendliness were as infectious as her spirited nature. Sally's interests were as diverse as her personality; she was an ardent animal lover, particularly devoted to her two cats, her "Chickens," who were the recipients of her endless affection and care.
Sally's love for animals extended beyond her own pets and she held a part time position at PetSmart which allowed her to help other pet owners.
Sally's legacy is one that will be fondly remembered and cherished by her family and friends. As we bid farewell to Sally Ann Corrier, we celebrate a life lived with zest, a heart given freely to others, and a soul that will continue to inspire laughter and kindness in the memories she leaves behind.
Though she has left this earthly realm, her spirit endures in the stories shared, the smiles she brought forth, and the indelible mark she made on the lives of those she touched.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who was a part of Sally's life. Her memory will be treasured, and her presence forever missed.
There will be a memorial to celebrate Sally's life at a future date.
