Ross L. Fapp

Ross L. Fapp passed on April 16, 2024, in Topeka, Kansas. Ross was born to Nadine (Ford) and Harry Fapp in Salina, Kansas on January 11, 1945. He attended Salina public schools and graduated from Salina Central High School in 1963. He was a member of the Methodist church in Salina. Following high school, Ross attended Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas where he became a member of Delta Upsilon fraternity. He graduated from Kansas State with his Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 1967. He then attended The University of Kansas Pharmacy School in Lawrence, Kansas, and upon graduation, he moved to Leavenworth, Kansas.

Ross met his sweetheart, Kitty, while working at Miller Drug. Ross and Kitty were married at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in June 1972 in Leavenworth, Kansas. Following their wedding, they moved to Oregon.

Ross worked as a registered pharmacist throughout his career in Coos Bay, Oregon, Portland, Oregon, Topeka, Kansas (Blaylock Drug, Kroeger), and St. Mary's, Kansas (Health Mart). Ross retired from Stormont Vail Hospital retail pharmacy in Topeka, Kansas in 2012.

In his younger days, Ross played tennis, golf and enjoyed skiing in Colorado and Oregon. In his later years, he was a frequent traveler, explored his family roots through genealogy, and worked on DIY projects, especially at his home in the historic Potwin neighborhood in Topeka. Ross was a lifelong Kansas State athletics fan and for many years was a ticketholder for football and basketball seasons. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Cathedral church.

Predeceased by his parents and his brother, Donald, Ross's memory will be loved, and his spirit kept alive by family and friends, especially his wife, Katherine "Kitty", daughter, Shawn, sons, Christopher and Robert, granddaughter, Aria, and "bonus granddaughter," Lizzie.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, May 11th 2024, at Grace Episcopal Cathedral, 701 SW 8th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
