Ronnie Lynn Warman, Sr. died Dec.19, 2022 in Topeka, KS. He was born Oct. 22, 1933, in Logan, KS to Corrine Rundle and Lawrence Martin. His mother later married George Warman, who adopted him. Ron attended many different schools as his father, a master bricklayer, followed the government construction jobs during the WWII years. His family later settled in Salina, KS and Ron graduated from high school there in 1951. He attended KSU at Manhattan and graduated from the Kansas Technical Institute in Salina, KS. He then joined the U.S. Navy, serving stateside.
He married Marylynn Simpson, and they had 2 children, Ron Warman, Jr. and Valorie Warman Doyle. Ron worked for the U.S. Post Office, retiring as an electronic technician in 1987. He was a man of many talents, including woodworking, woodturning, and weaving. He built beautiful furniture and repaired and restored antiques for his many customers in the Topeka area. His turned works won many awards and two of his turnings were chosen by the state as gifts to Japan.
He married Sharon Griffin Cox in 1987. They sold antiques in Topeka for several years. He was predeceased by his parents, a stepson, Jeffrey Lyn Cox, and a sister-in-law, Jan Griffin. He is survived by his wife Sharon, two children, Ron Warman, Jr. of Lawrence, KS and Valorie Warman Doyle of Austin, TX, Valorie's 3 children, Austin, Olivia and Emma Doyle, a stepson, Robert Cox, and his wife, Tamara Boman, and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Honoring his wishes, Ron was cremated. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
