Ronald Kevin Williams, 61, of Topeka lost his battle with lung cancer on November 12, 2022. Ronald, or Ron as he preferred to be called, was born on March 2, 1961 to Harold Clayton Williams and Mildred Eveln Williams (Harrold) in Topeka, KS as the youngest of 6 children. After graduating from Hayden High School, Ron began working as a mechanic before moving on to remodeling homes and eventually opening his own construction company.
Ron married his first wife, Paula Hollinger, in 1982. Although their union was not permanent, Ron and Paula had four children together, Ashley Wright (Williams), Robyn Diliberto (Williams), Kevin Williams and Bradley Williams. In 2009, Ron met Christine Gilbert and their love bloomed quickly and grew deeply. They were married in April of 2010. Together they have enjoyed a life of true love and deep devotion. Their favorite activities included going out to eat, watching movies, cheering on the Chiefs, going to classic car shows, and baking during the holidays.
Ron loved to build. First it was motors and working on cars. He rebuilt his beloved Chevy truck many times over the years. He loved to remodel and build houses and took particular enjoyment in seeing a house build through from start to finish. After retiring early, Ron explored his hobby of building toy trains and villages. More than anything, he loved his wife, Christine, and his children and he will be deeply missed by all.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Williams (Allensworth); children Ashley Wright (Alex Wright), Robyn Diliberto (Daniel Diliberto), Kevin Williams, Bradley Williams; step-children Amanda Gilbert and Brandon Gilbert; grandchildren Abner Wright, James, Nonie, Della and Daniela Diliberto, and Winston Williams; step-grandchildren Ezra Gilbert and Oliver Gilbert. He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Mildred Williams and his brothers Richard Williams, Robert Williams, and Donald Williams.
A service will be held to celebrate Ron's life in the Mulvane Building of Topeka Bible Church on November 18, 2022 at 3:30PM.
In honor of Ron's daily "uniform" of flannel shirts, pocket t-shirts and jeans, the family invites you to dress casually for the service and wear jeans and flannel if you're able.
