Ronald "Ronnie" D. Smith

Ronald Dean Smith, 61, of Eskridge, KS passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at the University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus. He was born August 5, 1960, in Topeka the son of J. Stanley and Marcella "Sally" (Wood) Smith. Ron graduated from Shawnee Heights High School and lived most of his life in Topeka, KS. He worked various jobs in his lifetime the last being a Sanitation Driver for Exodus Disposal. He loved his work and the customers on his route. He enjoyed spending time with friends, family and mostly his children. He had a special place in his heart for his nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ron is survived by his longtime companion, Sally Davis of the home. Other survivors include his children, Justin Smith of Denver, CO, Edwyne Stanley Smith, and DeAnna Vaye Smith both of Eskridge. Two brothers, Ray (Pamela) Smith of Florida and Rick (Gale Wise) Smith of Topeka also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Stanley and Sally Smith, and a sister, Lisa Marie (Smith) Hoffman. Celebrating the life of Ronald "Ronnie" D. Smith will be held from 6:00 p.m. until whenever on Friday, May 6, 2022 at the Eskridge Senior Citizen Center, 208 S Main Street, Eskridge, KS 66423. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made in his memory to Sally Davis, sent in care of Flint Hills Bank, 103 N Main Street, Eskridge, KS 66423.
