Ronald Louis Joler

Ronald Louis Joler was born to Joyce and Jerry Joler, January 22, 1949, in Atchison, Kansas. Ron died at home in Lawrence, Kansas, September 29, 2023.

Ron grew up in Concordia, a pure Kansas boy. After high school he attended the University of Kansas where he met Linda Ramberg. They were married for 53 years.

Ron worked as a bookstore manager, mail order book seller and book publisher for Capper's Weekly, and real estate appraiser with his brother Jeff.

Ron was a master of words. He wrote numerous poems, plays, screenplays, and novels, and his humor, intellect and wisdom infused his words with poetry and power. His storytelling was story worthy.

Ron was loved by many. They include his wife Linda; son Jake and his wife Irina and grandchildren Levi and Natasha; son Alec and his fiancée Chrissy Spencer; sister Jan and her husband Paul Jay; brother Jeff and his wife Shana. Ron had a large, loving extended family.

Ron's family and friends are so grateful for the life he shared with us.
