Rolland Eugene Jackson Sr., aged 83, of Mayetta, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2024, in Topeka, KS. Born February 21, 1941, in Scranton, KS, to loving parents, Eugene and Aletha May. Rolland's life was one of dedication, passion, and joy, which he shared generously with everyone he knew.

Rolland met and married the love of his life, Norma Jean Weekley, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter. Rolland and Norma shared 63 years of marriage. Their union was blessed with five wonderful children: Rolland Jr., Rodney, Tammy, Shawn, and Jason (Cheyenne).

A devoted father, Rolland instilled in his children the values of integrity, determination, and kindness. He took immense pride in his family, celebrating their achievements and providing unwavering support through life's challenges. As a grandfather to Lacy (Mitchel), Tracy (Sean), Jade, Devin (Katelynn), Spencer, Brystol, and Rhett, he reveled in his role, imparting wisdom and creating memories that will be treasured forever. His legacy continued to grow with the arrival of his great-grandchildren, Azarias, Augustus, AnnieJo, Abram, Noah, Charlotte, and Maverick, each of whom brought him immense joy.

Professionally, Rolland was the epitome of the self-made man. He founded and operated Jacksons Guttering, a business that not only served the community but also became a testament to his dedication and entrepreneurial spirit. Beyond his business endeavors, Rolland was a man of many interests. His passion for archery, fishing, and the intricate arts of leather and bead work spoke to his appreciation for skill and patience. These hobbies were not just pastimes but also a means to connect with friends, share his knowledge with others, and preserve the traditions he held dear.

Upon honoring Rolland's wishes, the family will be holding a private memorial service.
