Roger F. Devader

Roger F. DeVader passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 27, 2020 at the age of 72 years. He had been battling cancer.

Roger was born in Holton, KS to Henry and Ines DeVader. He attended school in Jackson County, KS. and later joined the US Navy where he served as an electrician on submarines. He married his wife, Sarah in the Fall of 1966 while in the Navy and they enjoyed seeing various destinations around the country as he served. He later moved back to the Holton area where he farmed and worked at Goodyear Tire Company in Topeka, KS. Roger also owned a business with his wife, Sarah, in Holton where he did custom picture framing and woodwork. Roger loved working with his livestock and other farm/ranch activities, woodworking, gardening, and overall just being outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah and his son, Matt and his wife Summer and their children Matthew and Hunter.

Other survivors include two brothers: Robert DeVader and wife Doris, and Francis DeVader; three sisters: Rosalie Boling and husband Delbert, Ramona Robinson and husband Dean, and Renetta DeVader. Roger was preceded in death by his two brothers Richard and Raymond.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date for friends and family to share memories.
