Rodney D. Myers 68, of Topeka, KS, passed away on June 11, 2023.

Rodney was born on March 9th 1955, to Dale Leo Charles Myers and Betty J Myers in Independence Kansas. He grew up on a farm in Coffeyville, Kansas and is one of 3 children.

He met his wife Mary (PJ) Myers, and they married in June of 1987 in Topeka Kansas

In life rod was a musician in his early years and a salesman in his later years, before becoming a collections agent in his final years after his heart attack.

Rod, as his friends knew him, had 3 passions in life: Music, baseball (the royals) and football (the Chiefs). he was lead guitarist and background singer in the band Night-Fire.

Anyone that knew rod would expect to hear during spring training every April, the phrase " this year is the Royals year to win another title ", they also know that Rod never missed a Chiefs game.

He is preceded in death by his father Dale, and his brother Roger.

He is survived by his mother Betty, sister Pam, wife PJ, his son Wade, two grandchildren, Chase, and Lillian.

Rod you will be missed, but now you will have the best seats in the house for the Chiefs and Royals.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held Sunday, July 2nd, 2023, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Lake Shawnee Shelter House #6.
