Roberta “Bert” Morrissey

Roberta "Bert" Morrissey was born on January 16, 1937 in Independence, MO to Harry and Helen Alexander.

She married James Leo Morrissey on February 14th, 1959. She had 4 children: James J Morrissey, Cleota Marie Morrissey, Janie Ramsdell (Joe Ramsdell) and Brenda Shoemaker (Jim Shoemaker).

She is preceded in Death by her husband.

She is survived by her siblings, Russell Alexander and Ida Eidson, children, grandchildren Willie

Ramsdell (Jade Ramsdell), Jessica Ramsdell, Michael Shoemaker, and great granddaughter Finley.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She spent years breeding and showing rabbits across the country, was committed to being frugal, and loved spending as much time with her husband on the back of a motorcycle taking photos of every pretty rock between Topeka, KS and California.

Those who do not remember her as a strong, yet stubborn homemaker may recall her time spent working in the cafeteria at USD 450- Shawnee Heights.

There will be no services for Roberta at her specific request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Ted Ensley Memorial Gardens at 3137 SE 29th St. Topeka, KS 66605.
