Roberta Louise "Robbie" Bridges (Alterman, Spoonemore), 74, passed away on July 24, 2025, in Topeka, Kansas. Born on June 16, 1951, in Wichita, Kansas, Robbie lived a life marked by compassion, creativity, and deep devotion to her family.

Robbie earned her master's degree in Social Work from the University of Kansas in 1994. Her dedication to helping others - particularly women and children - was evident throughout her career. She brought empathy and strength to every role she held, both professionally and personally.

A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Robbie, found immense joy in the company of her family. She is survived by her son Scott Lyle Spoonemore; granddaughters Scylar Caro (Derek) and Samantha Spoonemore; grandsons Scott Austin Spoonemore (Ashleigh), Killian Spoonemore, and Kemper Spoonemore; seven great-grandchildren—with an eighth on the way— and her sister Marcia Alterman (Paula Routon). Her love for each of them was boundless and unwavering.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son Kelly Ray Spoonemore, brothers Gary Lee Alterman and Keith Leslie Alterman, and her parents Robert Lee Alterman and Edith Louise Frisbie.

Robbie had a special talent for crafting and delighted in creating handmade gifts for her children and grandchildren. Her thoughtful creations were more than just crafts—they were expressions of love that will be treasured for generations.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 02:00 PM to 03:30 PM at Scranton Rec Building (corner of Boone & Boyle). There will be no set program - the family would welcome anyone who wants to stop by and join us in a celebration of Robbie's life.
