Roberta Ann Lewis

September 29, 1950 — March 2, 2025

Roberta Ann Lewis, age 74 of Topeka, KS, passed away peacefully on March 2nd, 2025. She was born in El Dorado, Kansas, on September 29th, 1950. Roberta is the daughter of Bert N. Duff & Annie Alvena Duff.

Roberta married Melvin H. Lewis III on July 30th, 1976. He preceded her in death. Survivors include daughter, Alicia Riddle (Topeka), grandson, Jordan Black (Topeka), and granddaughter, Taylor Black (Kansas City, MO).

Roberta was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many. Roberta's life was marked by her passion for travel. She explored the world with her husband and daughter, collecting so many memories and experiences. A particularly impactful period was her time spent living in South Africa, where she developed a love for animals, especially giraffes.

While Roberta dedicated time and effort to her career at Whelan's Lumber and Walgreens, her greatest joy came from being a mother and grandmother. Her family was the cornerstone of her life. She poured her heart into her relationships, creating a home filled with love and laughter. Her quick wit, loving nature, and sense of humor were qualities that endeared her to all who knew her.

Roberta will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her love of cooking and baking, and her unwavering devotion to her family. Her memory will be cherished by her family and friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. The absence of her laughter, the warmth of her home-cooked meals, and the simple joy of her presence will be profoundly felt. She will be missed dearly, but we will hold on to the precious memories forever.
