Robert Glen "Rg" Shaffer

Robert Glen "RG" Shaffer passed away on March 3, 2023 at Midland Hospice House after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

RG is survived by his wife of 43 years, Diane (Rath) and their two sons Luke (April) Shaffer and Eric (Jamie) Shaffer and 4 grandchildren Kimber, Wyatt, James Shaffer and Hunter Morris. He is also survived by his brothers Brad (Janet) Harsha, Steve (Robin) Harsha, and Craig (Sandy) Shaffer and sister in law Gayle Baer-Harsha, mother in law Connie Rath and in laws Cathy (Craig) Gates, Sharon (Rhett) Lowe, Cindy (Bob) Spinelli, Mike (Mary) Rath and a large extended family.

RG is proceeded in death by his parents Challis and Barbara (Rigdon) Shaffer, his sister Barb Pryor and brother David Harsha.

RG worked at UPS for 38 years and recently retired to enjoy more family time. RG and Diane enjoyed camping, traveling and riding their motorcycle. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with Luke, Eric and his grandkids. RG knew no stranger and was loved by everyone that knew him. He will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at Hoyt Community Center on March 25, 2023 from 1:00-5:00. A short service will be held at 1:00 with socializing and reminiscing afterwards
