Robert "Bob" Allison Quiett, 76, passed away on February 5, 2019 at his home in Meriden.
Bob was born on April 25, 1942 in Ozawkie, Ks., the son of Floyd Z. Quiett and Marjorie E. Lewis Quiett. He attended Topeka High School and Kaw Vocational-Technical School. Bob spent the majority of his life working as either the Superintendent or Assistant. Superintendent of various golf courses including the Topeka Country Club (1961-74); Cedar Crest Country Club, Topeka (1974-80); Rolling Hills Country Club, Versailles, Mo., (1981-82); Junction City Country Club (1982-87) and most recently Village Greens Golf Club, Meriden from 1988 – 2018 when he retired. Bob was an avid golfer, enjoyed going to the casino and also loved to fish with his brothers. Bob took great pride in keeping the various golf courses up to "par."
Bob was married to Wanda Halderman. They had three children. They were later divorced. He was married to Kathleen Day. They divorced. He married Helen Topper Miller on February 14, 1998. She survives at home. Bob is also survived by two sons, Galen and Troy Quiett of Topeka, his stepdaughter, Jennifer Miller (David), Topeka; one sister, Lynda L. Emery; Topeka; four brothers, Ronald F Quiett, Topeka, Marvin A. "Henry" Quiett, Perry, Jack L Quiett, Meriden and Alvin L. "Vernie" Quiett, Topeka. Also surviving are his granddaughter, Melissa Inloes (Brian), two step grandchildren, Tatum and Noah Carlson and four great-grandchildren.
Bob was predeceased by his parents and daughter, Robin Chapman and two brothers, Richard N. Quiett and Lynn B. Quiett.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the Village Greens Golf Course, 5612 Hwy 92, Meriden, Ks.
