At the tender age of 10, Bob began writing poetry. Most of his early poems were about his mother, whom he dearly loved. He continued writing poetry throughout his life and had 7 books of his poetry published, as well as having numerous poems published in literary magazines.
Bob and Tamela Mooney met online in 1997 through a mutual interest in poetry. He began writing love poems to Tami who felt he was just magical and believed his heart was wide open to the world. They were married on November 11, 1999. Bob had a beautiful and gentle spirit who wanted to share the joy with everyone that he received out of his writing. Bob's two other passions were golf and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Tamela: a sister, Alison (Rodney) and their sons, Nicholas and Matthew; 2 sons Jeremy (Amber) and Robert (Kimberly) and grandchildren Margot, Nicholas and Abigail. One son, Christopher, died at age 16 and another son, Samuel, was stillborn.
Bob will be cremated. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 16 at the chapel at Mount Hope Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Masks must be worn and social distancing will be observed.
