Robert Dean “Grannie” Mcgranahan

Robert Dean "Grannie" McGranahan, 67, of Harveyville passed away Tuesday June 28, 2016

Grannie was born November 9, 1948 in Topeka and graduated from Seaman High School class of 1966. Robert loved airplanes and got his pilot's license while he was still in high school. He started working as a pipe fitter for Santa Fe Railroad in 1966 and continued through most of the 70's. He loved racing flat track motorcycles and even achieved a national ranking. In the early 80's with Peggy by his side he found his passion of almost 40 years for ranching and organic farming, he was a member of the Kansas Organic Producers. He was a Board Member for the Eskridge Labor Day Rodeo for 29 years.

Grannie was greatly loved and will be sorely missed. Greatful to have shared in his life are Peggy Miller of the home, daughers Paula McGranahan Soldan, Eskridge and Trisha McGranahan Welch (Jeff Hisey), Topeka, Grandchildren Brandon Soldan, Topeka and Bailey Welch, Topeka, brother Richard McGranahan, CA. and sister Waunita McGranahan (Geoff Stevenson) CO. and several nieces and nephews.
