Robert “Bob” G. Freel

Robert “Bob” G. Freel, 85, passed away peacefully at home on September 26, 2026. He was born on October 24, 1940, in Corning, Kansas, to John and Hilda Freel.

Bob graduated from Highland Park High School in 1958. He worked for Chevrolet for over 40 years and later worked in maintenance at Menninger’s. After retirement, Bob continued to enjoy hunting, fishing, and creating wooden crafts and knives for his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Freel Farkas; sons, Sean Freel and Michael Freel, all of Topeka; grandchildren, Bethany Freel, Benjamin Robbel, Emma Freel, and Zachary Farkas; brother, Richard Freel of Minneapolis, Kansas; and sisters, Karen Valdivia, Nancy Valdivia, and Josie Bigger, all of Topeka, Kansas.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
