Robert "Currie" James Currie

Robert James Currie, 77, of Topeka, KS, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025, at the House at Midland Care.

He was born June 28, 1947, in Wichita, KS, the son of Frederick and Marjorie Currie. They preceded him in death as well as a sister, Joanne.

Currie grew up in Wichita and graduated from Wichita State University in 1970 with a business degree. He worked for Crawford and Company, retiring after 35 years.

Currie was an avid Buffalo Bills and New York Islanders fan and said he wish was to live long enough to see the Bills win the Super Bowl. He loved all aspects of hunting, especially deer.

Currie leaves behind many friends and neighbors who looked after him over the years.

Per his wishes cremation has taken place and his ashes will be scattered in the Rocky Mountains. There will be a celebration of his life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Midland Care Hospice, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606.
