Robert Lee Cotton, age 76 of Wichita Kansas passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017.

Robert was born on January 4, 1941 in Helm, Mississippi to the late Hurtless Jones and Ben Cotton.

Following his completion of the 12th grade Robert shortly after you join the United States Marines where he served as a soldier for four years. During his time of duty he received the Bronze Star Medal with combat "V" while serving with the third Marine division in Vietnam and also receive a medal as squad leader across open field to a fellow Marines pinned down by Viet Con Forces.

During his military life as a soldier Robert married Cleatrice Washington.

Two sons were born from this union who are Anthony Lee Cotton and Tracy Eugene Cotton.

He later divorced and remarried Betty Mae Randolph( widow) from this union one daughter was born Sharice Stephanie Cotton.

He later separated from Betty and went on to continue his military career.

After receiving an honorable discharge from the military Robert continued his life as an Electrician and a Contractor servicing homes in his hometown as well as other cities.

Family and friends who knew Robert will always remember his independent spirit in strong will and guided him through every choice he made in his life journey. He will be cherished and missed by all who loved him dearly.

A private memorial for the releasing of his remains will be given by his children at a later time.
