Robbie Jo Clem

October 1, 1956 — November 26, 2023

In the spirit of a Bard's tale, we gather to commemorate the vibrant life of Robbie Jo Clem, an exemplar of fortitude, love, and zest. Born in the year of our Lord, 1956, in the humble town of Newton, KS, Robbie was a beacon of light whose glow was extinguished on the 26th day of November, in the year 2023, in Topeka, KS. Though her mortal form was claimed by the cruel clutches of cancer, her spirit, as radiant as ever, lives on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Robbie, a woman of courage and tenacity, was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her lineage was as vast as it was cherished, including her daughters, Chrystel Kimble and Angel Collins; her son-in-law, Roger Collins; her grandchildren, Jessica Clem, Payge Meadows, Matthew Collins, Alexis Satterfield, Makayla Satterfield, Landen Osborne, Arieunta Hughes, Isabel Miller, Juan (John) Sanchez, Heavenly Price and Aden Bugg; and seven great-grandchildren. Robbie was the sister of Michelle Yoakum and was preceded in death by her mother, Louie Yoakum; father, Robert Westerfield; husband, Edward "Rocky" Correia; and sisters Joyce, Carolyn, Diane, and Shelia.

In her professional sphere, Robbie was known for her diligent service as a lead waitress at Golden Corral for 12 years. Her dedication and spirited nature were always evident in her work, making her a well-respected figure within her community. Robbie's infectious energy radiated beyond her professional life, touching every person she encountered.

In her leisure, Robbie discovered the joy of crafting, particularly making jewelry and dream catchers. These tangible representations of her creativity and love will continue to bring comfort to her loved ones. She was also known for her admirable skill in hosting BBQs for her family, a testament to her belief in the power of shared meals and fellowship. The time spent with her children and grandchildren were the moments she cherished the most, painting a vivid picture of a woman who understood the true value of family and love.

Robbie was a woman of courage, a trait she embodied with every challenge she faced. Her spirited nature was infectious, inspiring those around her to embrace life with a similar fervor. Robbie was also a woman of immense love, her heart as vast as the ocean, embracing everyone within its reach.

In the words of the renowned poet, Alfred Lord Tennyson, "I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." Robbie's life was an embodiment of this sentiment, a testament to the power of love and the strength of the human spirit.

As we bid adieu to Robbie Jo Clem, we pay tribute to her courage, her spirited nature, and her boundless love. Her legacy will continue to inspire us, reminding us of the strength of the human spirit and the power of love.
