Raul Perez

Raul H. Perez, 76 passed away Saturday, April 9th, 2022, at the Midland Hospice House, in Topeka Kansas. Raul was born October 18, 1945, in San Antonio Texas, son of Juan C. and Maria Perez. SFC. Raul H. Perez, aka Speedy, enlisted in the Army on September 27th, 1966, serving in Korea with the 110th MP Company in 1970 and 1971. He also served in Vietnam with the 284 MP Company in 1971 to 1972, obtaining Sergeant First Class, E-7. He was a 11B40H Light Weapons Infantry Instructor. He is authorized to wear the Bronze Star with V Device, Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with one Silver Star and one Bronze Service Star and Republic of Vietnam Campaign medal. Raul is survived by Son Raul (Stefanie) Perez, Bedford Texas, Daughter Santita Perez Colin, Bedford Texas, and Stepsons James (Elissa) Hobbs, Topeka Kansas and Joe (Tiffany) Hobbs Sr. Topeka Kansas; 13 grandkids; and siblings Enrique (Connie) Perez, Santiago (Marcia) Perez, Josephina Casares, Manuel Perez Raul is preceded in death by parents, brother Juan H. Perez Jr., sister Teresa P. Garcia Funeral services will be held Friday May 6th, 2022, at 9:00 am at V.F.W., Post 76, located at 10 Tenth Street, San Antonio, TX 78215. Full military honor burial services will follow at 10:30 am and Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery located at 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, TX, Shelter #5
