Ralph G. Denny

Ralph G. Denny, 85, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on December 21, 2019. He was born in Kansas City, MO on July 25, 1934, the son of Edward and Florence (Shrock) Denny. He retired as Training Director from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas on January 2, 1998. He was a member of Grace Point Church and loved the Lord. Ralph is survived by his wife, Cathy, of 38 years; three daughters: Kathleen Steiner (Ed), Independence, MO, Karen Johnson (Doug) Lee's Summit, MO; Kristi Thornton (Matthew), Scottsdale, AZ; three sons: Dr. Kevin Denny, Tampa, FL; Nicholas Elwood (Patricia), Topeka, KS; and Michael Denny (Michelle), Topeka, KS. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Edward Denny. Celebration of life services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. at Mount Hope Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th Street, Topeka, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the GoFundMe account of Ralph's granddaughter, Krystal Johnson. Earlier this year, she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer while raising their 6 children.
