Ralph Stephen Carter, 68, of Meriden, KS, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023, at his home.
He was born February 9, 1954, in Topeka, KS the son of Christopher and Norma (Swaim) Carter.
Ralph completed 6th grade and went on to be a successful ASE Certified mechanic. He owned and operated his own business, Midnight Oil, and retired after being certified in two separate countries as a welder. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and a 350 small block wizard. He enjoyed spending time in his garage and mostly with his dogs, Athena and Zane.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Kyla Carter of the home. Other survivors include a son, Raphael C. Carter, a sister, Mary E. Bowling of Red Oak, IA, a half-brother, Ron (Clarice) Pike of Tulsa, OK. Two grandchildren, Vincent Carter, and Alexis Carter, three great-grandchildren, Jace M. Carter, Caytlin Carter, and Christian Carter along with two nieces, Mary Hernandez and Marci Ramage also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, Christopher and Norma Carter, and a grandson,Christian Carter.
Cremation is has taken place. A memorial celebration of life will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 PM Friday, January 20, 2023, at the Parker Price Reception Center, 1940 NW Central Avenue, Topeka, KS 66608.
