Rachael Lynn Fulton

March 22, 1983 — June 5, 2023

Rachael Lynn Fulton, a caring mother and beloved friend passed away unexpectedly in Topeka Kansas at the age of 40 on June 5th, 2023. Her family and friends will miss her more than words can say.

Rachael was born on Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, NC to Ronna Fulton. Military life brought several moves, but eventually they settled in western Kansas not far from her grandparents. After graduating from Cimarron High School in 2001, Rachael attended Kansas State University and then found her home in Topeka. In Topeka she was a director for Kennedy Academy, worked at WTI, the State, and lastly for Blue Cross Blue Shield. Rachael made many lasting friendships and memories with each position she held.

She leaves behind the best part of her, Gentrie and Kaliya, her beautiful daughters and stepdaughter Dejah.

Anyone who knew Rachael knew that she was a special soul. She had an immense passion for life, especially following her girls' activities. Rachael loved to show Gentrie's artwork or brag about how talented, smart, and kindhearted she is. She could always be spotted in the stands (seated at half court always) watching Kaliya play basketball. As a single mother, Rachael often put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced challenges in her life with courage. Instilling in those who were close to her the importance of family, sacrifice, and perseverance.

Rachael had an intense love for all sports, especially the KC Chiefs, and of course her beloved K- State. Rachael would always have a stat or bit of knowledge to add to any conversation. Her ability to sit and talk with anyone is what was most loved about her.

Rachael worked hard to provide for her children, therefore, in honor of her wishes to ensure her girls continue to be provided for, a MealTrain page has been established for Kaliya and Gentrie. This fall Gentrie will begin her freshman year at K-State. No words can accurately describe how happy and proud this made Rachael. Kaliya will be entering her junior year at Hayden Catholic High School and will continue to pursue her basketball dreams. The love of basketball was one of their strongest bonds.

Rachael is survived by her daughters Gentrie and Kaliya Fulton, stepdaughter Dejah Ramsey, mother Ronna Fulton, grandparents Ronald and Mary Lynn Fulton, uncle Randy Fulton and wife Dee Fulton, aunt Sherry Lungwitz and husband Pete Lungwitz, multiple cousins and Stormi her loyal lab mix who worked by her side each day.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Grace Farms on June 25th from 3:00 to 7:00pm. The service will be at 6:00 pm. Please feel free to stop in prior to share your memories or favorite stories about Rachael with her family. Food and drinks will be provided.

Rest in peace, sweet Rachael. You will forever be in our hearts.
