R C "Bob" Boswell, born November 29, 1931 in Watonga, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully from heart failure on October 16, 2023 in Topeka, Kansas surrounded by family.
Bob was the cherished husband of Charlotte "Ann" Boswell, the loving father of Anthony "Devin" Boswell (Rebecca), and the proud grandfather of Cory (Leila "Joey"), Dylan, and Skylar (River) Boswell. He was also the doting great-grandfather to Blair, Geoffrey, and Rio. Bob was predeceased by his daughter, Terri, and had been estranged from his children, Marilyn and Bryan Boswell.
Bob was a man of resilience, determination, and humor. Born in Watonga, he moved west as a child to live with family. He pursued his higher education, graduating from San Diego State University.
Bob honorably served his country in the United States Army. After his military service, Bob returned to civilian life, where he became a beloved member of his community.
He was an active member of the Elk's Club, the Masonic Lodge, and the Shriners, contributing significantly to their various charitable endeavors. His fellow lodge and club members will remember him for his dedication, his infectious laughter, and his knack for telling the most engaging stories.
Bob was also known for his love of sports. He was an avid golfer and bowler, often spending his weekends either on the green or at the bowling alley. His love for these sports was infectious, and he was always ready to share his passion and knowledge with anyone willing to learn.
Despite his many interests and commitments, Bob's family remained his greatest love. He was a devoted husband to Ann, his partner of 60 years. Their love story was one of mutual respect and admiration, filled with shared laughter and joy. Bob was also a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
