Phyllis Arlene Price

Phyllis Arlene Price, 85, passed away at Via Christi Village on November 5, 2025. She was born on June 18, 1940, in Iola, KS, the daughter of John and Gladie (Lewis) Brooks.

Phyllis attended school in Kansas and married, Gerold Bolin on May 29, 1958, who died on January 28, 1978. She later married Jessie Price on November 7, 1980, and later they divorced.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents Gladie and John Brooks, a sister, Francis Chapin, two brothers Myrle Brooks and Robert Brooks, a son Kenneth Brooks and a good friend Richard Laferty.

She is survived by two brothers Mervin Brooks of Smith Center, KS, Cecil Brooks and his wife, Joann, of Red Cloud, NE, three sisters, Ruby Boswell of St. Joseph, MO, Linda Hogan of Colorado Springs, CO, and Esther Terrill of Hays, KS.

Other survivors include two sons, Timothy Bolin of Junction City, KS, Curtis Bolin and his wife, Sandra, of Wamego, KS, along with two daughters Tina Roe of Seneca, KS, and Roberta Ellis and her husband Jerry, of Manhattan, KS. She has seventeen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Phyllis loved sewing and reading books. She collected Coca Cola memorabilia and loved sunflowers and roses.

Cremation has taken place, and Phyllis wishes were not to have a funeral. Graveside burial will take place at a later time.
