Paul Michael Watkins, a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend passed away peacefully at the age of 64. Born to Lawrence and Marcia (Roberson) Watkins in Topeka, KS. February 14th, 1960. The second child of 3. Paul worked as a mechanic all his adult life at several different places, with his last employer being Shawnee County Refuse.
Known for his unwavering love for his family and his zest for life, Paul always put his loved ones first, offering support, wisdom, and a listening ear. When he wasn't surrounded by family, Paul could be found in his garage or on the open road, riding his Harleys with a passion that defined him. His love for the adventure, the freedom of the ride, and the camaraderie of his fellow riders were integral parts of who he was. One of his proudest moments was when his 1946 HD-Knucklehead that he put together from the wheels up, was featured in the December 1994 Issue of Easyriders Magazine. Paul will be remembered for his love and devotion to both his family, friends, and his love of all of his motorcycles. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Survivors include his wife Tracy Watkins, mother Marcia Watkins, brother Steve Watkins, sister Teresa Laudien, Daughter Kallee (Jesse) Watkins-Crenshaw, Son Michael (Tiffany) Watkins, Also children James (Jennifer) Baldwin all of Topeka, KS, and Melissa Ralston . Along with many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. And his beloved dog and cat Peanut Butter and Piper.
He was preceded in death by his father Larry Watkins, paternal and maternal grandparents Marguerite and Lawrence Watkins, Golda and John Roberson, uncles Bob and Floyd Watkins, and Richard Roberson.
No services are pending at this time. The family is planning on announcing a celebration of life later on this year. Donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, of which Paul and Tracy are avid donors.
