Paul David Blanchette, a cherished family man, and respected veteran, passed away on June 20, 2024, in Topeka, KS, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 17, 1948, in Worcester, MA, Paul's life was marked by his dedication to his country, having honorably served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam conflict from 1967 to 1971.
Paul pursued a business education at Amherst College, which laid the foundation for a life of integrity and hard work. His love for the outdoors was evident to all who knew him, as he spent countless joyful hours with his dogs, fishing, living by the lake, basking in the sun, and enjoying beach outings.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in his son, Kurt Blanchette; daughter-in-law, Heather Blanchette; daughter, Cheryl Viau; son-in-law, Keith Viau; and his beloved grandchildren, Kelsey, Forrest, Van, and Elora. Paul's memory will be treasured as a guiding light in the lives of those he loved.
Cremation has taken place. His family is planning to hold a private service.
