Patricia "Pat" Ann Callahan

Patricia "Pat" Ann Callahan, 73, of Topeka, KS passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022, in the comfort of her daughter's home with loving family near her bedside. She was born at the 98th General Hospital in Munich Germany on June 11, 1949, the daughter of Army Lt Henry Albert and LaVerna (Weinkauf) Lane while stationed in Augsburg Germany. Pat was a 1967 graduate of Topeka West High School and in 1983 attended Kaw Area Vo Tec. She retired from food service at Topeka Manor and then later as a House Supervisor from Sheltered Living. In her spare time Pat enjoyed the simpler parts of life, like reading, listening to music, working in her garden, or spending time in the kitchen baking. She had a deep devotion and love for family, friends, and animals. Pat married Criss Fox in 1967, they later divorced. She was then married to Roy Callahan on December 24, 1989, he preceded her in death on July 4, 2012. She is survived by four children, Lisa (Ben Soza) Dister, Leanne Fox, Lloyd (Racheal) Callahan, Vista (Jeff) Lyda, a brother, John Lane of Lancaster, PA, a sister in Christ, Chris Urban of Topeka, KS, and her four-legged companion, "Precious". Sixteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews along with extended family, Dan Dister, Jr., and Gena Callahan Marquez also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and LaVerna Lane, two sisters, Mary Price and Kathy Crook, a grandchild, Skylar Callahan, and a great-grandchild, Everly Callahan. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will begin at 6:30 P.M. Friday, July 29, 2022, at the Lake Shawnee Yacht Club, 3724 SW Yacht Court, Topeka, KS 66605. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made in Pat's memory to Interim Healthcare or Helping Hands Humane Society.
