Patricia Ann Duncan

Patricia Ann Duncan, 86, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away on January 14, 2018, at home surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Emporia, Kansas, on September 16, 1931 to William and Irene Roberts and resided there until she moved to Topeka in 1952.

She was a homemaker. Her hobbies included playing bridge, reading, traveling, and spending time with family.

She married Chester L. Duncan on December 29, 1948. He preceded her in death on October 17, 1996. They had 8 children, 7 of whom survived: 3 daughters, Melinda J. McNish and Robin L. Duncan, both of Topeka, KS, and Leslie A. Nelson of Oklahoma City, OK; and 4 sons: Daniel A. Duncan, Kansas City, KS, James M. Duncan, Spring, TX, Phillip B. Duncan and Bruce E. Duncan, both of Virginia Beach, VA.

Other survivors include sisters Betty Blex of Emporia, KS, Catherine Spriegel of Chicago, IL, Mary Mickel of Lawrence, KS, Margaret Martinie of Olathe, KS, and Emily VanderVelde of Overland Park, KS.

She was preceded in death by her brother William Roberts and his wife Jean, her brother Richard Roberts and his wife Lea, and her brother-in-law Don Blex. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her infant son, Samuel Roberts Duncan.

She had 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild all of whom adored her.
