Pamela Jean Pasley

December 4, 1957 — October 13, 2024

Pamela Jean Pasley passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024, in Rossville, KS at the age of 66. Born on December 4th, 1957 in Topeka, Kansas to Donald & Grace Pasley, her zest for life was evident in everything she did.

Pam was a graduate of Silver Lake High School - Class of 1975, and married Jeffrey Drum on June 21st, 1980. Although their paths later diverged, their union brought about the birth of their two daughters, Brandi & Mandi, who were the pride and joy of her life.

Her love for beauty and nature eventually led to her opening P.S. Flowers, a beloved flower shop in Silver Lake, with her sister Susan. The shop's charming tagline, "P.S. – Don't forget to buy your flowers!" became a memorable motto to those that knew her well. Pam's friendly demeanor and talent for flower arranging made the shop a mainstay on Main Street, where she spent many years helping people celebrate life's milestones. Pam never knew a stranger, and loved this profession so much because it allowed her to meet and get to know people on such a personal level each day.

Pam was also an avid gardener and could often be found tending to her many different plants and flowers. She loved creating garden spaces that included lily ponds and water features, which provided anyone who visited them with feelings of tranquility and beauty. When she wasn't in the garden, she could be found traveling to one of her favorite places such as Eureka Springs, Arkansas or line dancing to some good country music. Pam was often the life of the party, and loved being ornery and sharing her infectious laughter with those around her.

She is survived by her mother, Grace Pasley; her sisters, Susan (John) Gragert and Christa (Sean) Teel; her daughters, Brandi (Shane) Ruse and Mandi (Ronnie) Randall; her grandson, Zachary Ruse; and multiple nieces and nephews who will all carry the spark of her adventurous spirit forward.

She was preceded in death by her beloved baby brother Ronald "Ronnie Joe" Pasley, and her father Donald Pasley. Their memories were held close to her heart, and she often shared fond stories of their time together.

Though Pam encountered many health problems towards the end of her life, her journey was marked by her spirited nature, friendly demeanor, and loving heart. Brandi and Mandi inherited their mother's friendly and loving spirit, and will carry that legacy with them as they move forward.

The family would like to invite anyone who would like to honor Pam's life to attend a Celebration of Life event that will be held on Thursday October 24th, 2024 from 6-8pm at Shelter House #3 at Lake Shawnee. Food and drinks will be provided. Burial will follow at 10am Friday October 25th, 2024 at Silver Lake Cemetery.

The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to Rossville Healthcare & Rehab Center or Interim Healthcare & Hospice in memory of Pam.
