Norma Jean Buckridge

Norma Jean Buckridge, 75, of Junction City, KS, passed away Friday, July 24, 2026, at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, KS.

She was born on May 9, 1951, in Council Grove, KS the daughter of George and Marjorie Stone. She lived a great deal of her life in Council Grove and always considered it home.

She married Junior Choate in the summer of1967, and to that union a daughter was born. They later divorced. She married Mike Buckridge in the summer of 1980, and to that union a son was born. They also later divorced.

Norma was a member of the Berean Baptist Church in Council Grove, where she taught Sunday School. Her faith remained strong even through her toughest days.

She is survived by a daughter, Chris Kaspar and her husband, Kelly, of Wamego, KS, a son, Bryan Buckridge and his wife, Andrea, of Junction City, KS, a sister, Carol Grover of Topeka, KS, and a brother Roy Stone of Colorado. Other survivors include her grandchildren, Shelbie Kasper and her partner, Justin Fugua of Council Gove, KS, Devon Kaspar and his wife, Katie, of Manhattan, KS, Danae Rieman, Angel Kluth, Jasmyne Adamczyk and Sheryl Beeman-Faulkner, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. The biggest loves of Norma’s life were her great grandchildren, Jaxon Ray Lee and Emma Rose Lee both of Council, Grove, KS. Her pride and joy were her kids, grandkids and great grandkids, she made a special bond with each of them that will last a lifetime.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, George and Marjorie Stone, three brothers, Wayne Stone, Tom Stone and Alvin Stone along with four sisters, Sally Hesser, Joyce Stone, Elaine Jackson and Joann Ghumm.

Cremation is planned. The date and time for her Celebration of Life will be added soon.
