Mónica Rivera-Martínez

Mónica Rivera-Martínez, 56, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025. She was born on October 29, 1968, in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, to Pablo Rivera and Belinda Martinez.

Known for her loving spirit and delicious cooking, Mónica had a gift for bringing her family together. She found joy in traveling and spending quality time with her daughters and granddaughters. For 20 years, she was a dedicated machine operator at Mackin Educational Resources before her cancer diagnosis.

Mónica was preceded in death by her daughters, Jessica Rodriguez and Cristina Ortiz; granddaughters, Genesis Ortiz and Nina Rodriguez; siblings, Elena, Luis, Mariana, Gaby, and Patricia Rivera; and numerous other family members.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, Kansas.
