Family was very important to Chelle, so much so that growing up with her husbands siblings meant she was a heckuva 1st base softball player and who can question a strong woman whose nickname was "shot?!"
She was a well-known bowler who always carried a high average in addition to playing and whooping anyone in scrabble whether it be a board game or electronic version.
She had a fierce love of the movie Dirty Dancing, the comic strip character Garfield and anything related to George Strait. She filled her beautiful home with all kinds of Longerberger baskets and loved nothing more than doting on her dogs Zoey and Snoop.
Chelle was passionate for local teams, Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals and the Kansas Jayhawks so in celebration of her spirit everyone is encouraged to wear any of these teams clothing or if you have a token to remember Chelle and your relationship with her please bring.
Chelle left behind many local family members and friends who loved her very much and will truly be missed by all.
Chelle is survived by her husband of 28 years, Pastor John Thacker.
A celebration of life will be held at Berryton Baptist Church, 6741 SE Berryton Rd. in Berryton, starting at 10am, with a meal to follow.
There will be a private interment for the family.
Memorial contributions can be sent to the National Stroke Association, 9707 E Easter Lane, Ste B. Centennial, Co. 80112.
